MAPS: Mentors, Advocacy, and Peer Services

MAPS matches trained and background checked Mentors with disabilities to eligible local high school students with disabilities! Mentors are highly knowledgeable about the tools and skills that help high school students navigate the steps to an independent life. Our Mentors provide a real world perspective of how they've personally made the transition from childhood to adulthood, providing a social, safe and fun environment!

There are 2 parts to the MAPS Program:

1. Higher Education and Resources for Teens! The MAPS HEART! Project provides college and career information paired with mentoring services to physically disabled teens. We cover EVERYTHING from resumes and cover letters, college and university tours, the application process, and so much more!

2. Getting Out!  The MAPS GO! Project provides age appropriate activities and adventures for disabled teens. We host a range of accessible group and 1:1 activities through-out the year. GO! also includes the service-learning component of our program, providing first hand volunteering experience out in our beautiful community!
