Olmstead Community Organizing:  Life in Community

The Center for Independent Living is the proud fiscal sponsor of Project Olmstead, a multi-year community organizing effort to support de-institutionalization and community living for people with disabilities in the Bay Area.  The U.S. Supreme Court decided the Olmstead case in 1999, saying that people with disabilities have the right to live in community instead of institutions.

All are invited to the Planning Meeting for the May 11, 2012 Olmstead event:  "Life in Community:  Olmstead, the ADA and You."  Come to the meeting this Friday, March 23 at 1:00 pm at Ed Roberts Campus Osher Room A.  Gluten-free snacks provided.  Questions, email projectolmstead@gmail.com.
