Peer Counselors
Peer Counselors provide services and supports to all consumers with a disability. This program really goes to the heart of the CIL mission of supporting independence with the support of a peer. We provide these services at our offices in Berkeley, Downtown Oakland and Fruitvale/East Oakland.
Our Peer Counselors provide:
- Problem solving and development of a plan to meet identified goals
- Information and Referrals
- Information about housing, benefits and other basic support servcies
- Assistance in navigating different systems (healthcare, benefits, etc)
